Spotlight Session: Leadership Roundtable: Using Data to Improve Public Health Decisions and Communication, Sponsored by ASTHO
This panel will focus on the effective use of data in public health communications. Panelists from the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health will review key public health communications hot button issues, challenges, trends, data, and lessons learned during COVID-19. Panelists will discuss how public health leaders and communicators can use data to make informed decisions and improve public health messaging. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of data in decision-making and the role of effective communication strategies in promoting behavior change and rebuilding trust in public health.
